Many fine performances this week in the League, highlighted by San Diego's All World LaDainian Tomlinson again tearing it up!  Just because Peyton Manning and Coach Tony Dungy finally beat that great New England team and Tom 'Terrific' Brady finally threw 4 INTs in a game, don't expect overrated Indianapolis to be serious contenders in the playoffs. Like the CFL's Kerry Joseph (ehem, 'QB'), Manning, who has ALWAYS had a damnable propensity to pull 'defeat from the jaws on victory in the postseason', will have to prove it to me down the stretch. I can't jump on Myk's Broncos with golf shoes this weekend, because THEY DID score 31 pts. again, I still have no confidence they'll even get by Da Raidahs this weekend.

They and the Raiders, seriously, still have bad Offences and it serves the Radiers right for letting their starting QB Kerry Collins (not Joseph) get away and ditto for the Broncos letting TE Jeb Putzier, WR Ashley Lelie (Hawai'i '01) and Coaching Genius/Ast.H.Coach Gary Kubiak walk. Lelie, who got sick of the false 'High' expectations (the Broncos, especially Shanahan, were playing him ON THE WRONG SIDE of the 'O'...) and bought out his contract. He signed with Atlanta, who has two ex-Warrior (NCAA) team mates in Adrian Klemm (reserve) and Kynan Forney (starter) there. Lelie has been sensational for the Falcons helping Mike Vick complete his development as A REAL QB. (Are you listening Jake PLUMBER?)...

NFL Footy mates I hope you enjoy my 70 minutes of 06 US Natl's MYKwebTV from 4 weeks ago in Las Vegas. This is Australian Rules Football, no it's not rugby. Mat McBriar the Cowboys punter played this great game in Melbourne before heading to the University of Hawaii Warriors while Ben Graham the Jets punter was a star AFL player for the Geelong Cats before his NFL career with the Jets. Darren Bennett the former Charger and Pro Bowler played AFL for the Melbourne Demons for many years. These guys often use this very accurate drop punt in the NFL when they are close enough to land the end over end backwards spinning drop punt on the 3-5 yard line. I'm going for the Colts as I believe they are a better team. Pats are favorite at home by 3. I think most people can't see the Colts lead by Peyton Manning winning in New England. If they can't win this time then the monkey will be on their back again for a long time possibly."

NFL Milestones: San Diego RB LaDainian Tomlinson, who I think is the best Football player right now on the planet and the closest thing we have to the late Walter Payton, now has 8,000+ yards rushing in just five NFL season. Only Walter Payton and Emmitt Smith did it faster. Way to go LaDainian!

Mat McBriar. I am surprised of course that Myk missed part of this one. Obviously since Mat got yelled at by Coach Bill (Tuna) Parcells earlier this year for fumbling a snap as H for Mike Vanderjagt (ex-Ar.FL/CFL player) and throwing an INT off a fake P, Hawai'i's Mat McBriar has been leading the NFC as well as NFL in Punting. But fellow Aussie Ben Graham (formerly with the Geelong AFL Cats) is third in distance in the AFC and leads the AFC in every other P Catagory! Down the  stretch I expect Graham to pull away from everybody, even McBriar since Dallas schedule gets easier (at least on paper) and McBriar won't P as much. But the Jets after a surprising start are now 4-4-0 and their schedule gets brutal the rest of the way - thus Ben will P many more times than Mat down the stretch. Myk, think about this one; wouldn't it be something if it's McBriar v. Graham in the '07 Pro Bowl? The first time there would be two Aussie Punters representing the two Conferences! The only other guy that could mess this scenario up would be one of two ex-Baltimore Stallions left in Pro Football; New England's P, lefty, Josh Miller, who's ahead of Graham now. On to other things - the season is half way over and the 'Who will be the first Coach fired' talk is hot and heavy now. I predict it'll be a tie - Denny Green of the always under acheiveing Arizona Redbirds or nutty Nick Saban in Miami. You'd think Saban would be more relived without Ricky Williams to worry about!

"Myk, the Bears and Patriots are the best teams in the NFL not the Colts. I will also say this, the Broncos have the best record of any team the overrated Colts have played this year. Denver's 31 points is commendable but the fact is only the now 32nd Raidahs have a worse Offence. A good performance by the Broncos but the simply statistical fact remains Denver has the 31st ranked Offence in the League. They will finish below .500, or maybe 8-8-0 on the season unless they switch to B. Van Pelt, son the NFL great Brad Van Pelt at pivot, soon, or make a trade for a real TE and FB. 

Tom Brady, who owns P. Manning, a fundamentally sound QB, and genuine nice kid, who simply doesn't have the killer instinct to be a great Pro QB. The Patriots will slaughter Indy this weekend.

When the smoke clears it'll probably be Chicago v. New England in SB XLI in Miami. The best team in the League, talent-wise, the Carolina Panthers have nine starters out now. That's the reason for John Fox' team slump now. I have to give Cowboys Coach Bill Parcells credit, he knew what he was doing benching Drew Bledsoe for Tony Romo. Drew is closing in on Johnny Unitas for 40,000+ NFL passing yards. Bledsoe is 27th in Pro Football history." Moose

Indianapolis vs Denver. "Moose has done it again. Forgotten a game. I'm surprised to see that the Bronco's are starting favorite by a spread of 2.5-3. I'll go for the Bronco's as they are my #1 team and it's in Denver. This game will show how good the Bronco's are especially their great defense. They are up against the awesome combination of Manning and Harrison along with the Colts other very good offense players. If the Bronco's win this week I'll wonder if Moose "still" says we are no good!"

Then Kurt and Co. are cold, get hammered in game three, and Kurt gets benched for 'what's-his-name-lefty-qb'. As my e-mailer (anonymous player) said now Leinart is 0-4 and his confidence is shot! Green, Washington's Gibbs and Miami's nutty N. Saban should all be out by AT LEAST the end of the season. Gibbs health is the main concern there.
