After a Huge last quarter in game 1 Champ NFLer
Running Back Ricky Williams struggled or can I say he had a shocker rushing for
14 yards off 8 carries. Seems the whole Argo's team really struggled. Can I
suggest losing Champ QB Damon Allen the 2005 MVP last week was the main reason.

Ricky's 1st
official game in the CFL was on Saturday in Toronto at the Skydome
where the MLB Blue Jays also play. Ricky had a slow start to the game
but his last quarter was very good. He ended up with 18 carries for 97
yards his longest being a 35 yard run in the last quarter. He also
caught 2 passes for 24 yards which included a 18 yard run. I am very
happy that Ricky had a great end to his 1st game after he struggled to
break clear in the 1st half. He looked very happy in the last quarter
and after the game as he chatted to his teammates on the sidelines.

Big Ben Roethlisberger
won't be eating any Burgers any time soon, he'll be drinking Milk and
Protein drinks out of a straw!
One of the Rollerchair models. Big Ben is very lucky he is not
permanently in one of these!
Big Ben was
not wearing a helmet and was hit by a car in which a 62 year old lady
was driving. The doctors spent 7 hours yesterday operating on Ben as he
received a broken jaw, broken teeth, a 9 inch cut on his head and knee
injuries. Wow! This is insane, why was Ben not wearing a helmet? Well
apparently in Pennsylvania one does not have to wear a helmet when
riding a motorcycle. Now that's a crazy stupid law right there! I saw a
TV interview where Ban said he gets a better free type feeling riding
without a helmet. Damn him, I am not a Steelers fan but I am a Ben
Roethlisberger fan. He has done a amazing job at Quarter Back for the
Steelers since coming into the league. I hope that we does recover and
that we see him play this year.
This is especially to young guys and girls out there reading this!
Before I started in Media 9 years ago I was a Mechanical Design
Engineer and one of the places I worked was Rollerchair in South
Australia. This was a excellent design job as I was helping design the
best electric wheelchairs in Australia for people with handicaps and
injuries. Some of the orders that came to me simply amazed me. I
remember I had to design a electric wheelchair for a boy that was tiny.
He had no arms and very tiny legs and he would have to crawl onto the
foot part of the wheelchair and then via pneumatic cylinders he would
be raised up to the seat where he would then climb onto and sit. This
amazed me , I felt glad that I could design a wheelchair that would
help him and I especially felt very lucky to have a healthy normal
body.
My point here is "most" of the electric wheelchairs that we designed
and made at Rollerchair were for motorcycle victims!

Steelers President Art Rooney’s Statement Regarding Ben
Roethlisberger’s Motorcycle Accident
“On behalf of everyone within the Steelers organization, I want to
express my concern for Ben Roethlisberger. I am sure Ben knows that we
are praying for his complete recovery. So far, we have been encouraged
by the early reports from the medical team at Mercy Hospital.
“Our public relations staff will pass along any additional updates as
we receive them from the hospital.” Art Rooney, Steelers President

Playmakers what a great
TV show!
It was a sad night last
night as I believe the last episode of one of my favorite TV shows
ever, the re run of Playmakers was shown on Showcase. Playmakers was a
Canadian production that ran for about 10 weeks "based" on the NFL that
was also shown on ESPN in the USA. It was HARDBall showing many of the
things that happen on and off the field in the NFL. I particularly
enjoyed this series as I have been in the locker rooms of NFL teams
after games and met some of the star players in pubs and obviously we
all hear about the good and bad that goes on with NFL players.
I also heard that the NFL put a stop to a 2nd year of this series. I
believe this could be true as it did show some things that did not make
the NFL look good. What a great show it is and I hope a DVD set is
available of this series. There were often Hot Cwoa babes as well in
this show along with a Hot Cwoc Media babe who I met at the
Jacksonville Super Bowl Media Day, Hmmm and Wow .............Contd on

5) Green Bay: A+! Bravo! The Winner of the 2006 NFL Draft. Top Pick:
A.J. Hawk, LB, THE Ohio State, indeed! The most underrated player in
the draft. Another Ray Lewis/Brian Urlacher style LB who will be their
best LB ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6th & 22nd Picks: San Francisco: Brandon Williams (no relation to
Houston's top pick). A very productive draft for the rebounding 48er's.

Texans pick Defensive End Mario Williams #1 overall!
Star Quarter Back Vince Young goes #3 to the Titans while Quarter Back
Matt Leinart the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner goes at #10 to the
Cardinals! Lots of info from NFL Media on Mario Williams below.
Bronco's
select Jay Cutler! It seems Broncos coach Mike Shanahan wants a
good young backup to develop behind Jake Plummer at Quarter Back and
thus traded up to the 11 spot to select Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt.
Former legend San Fran 49ers Quarter Back Steve Young rated Jay as the
best Quarter Back in the draft ahead of Vince Young and Matt Leinart.
Very interesting. Good luck to Jay at my favorite NFL team the Denver
Bronco's.
From NFL Media.
CUTLER’S A VANDY DANDY:
The selection of Vanderbilt quarterback
JAY CUTLER
by Denver with the 11th choice in the first round marked
several Commodore milestones. Cutler became:
• The first Vanderbilt player taken in the first round
since
T WILL WILFORD
by Buffalo in 1986 (No. 20 overall).
• The highest Vanderbilt player taken since
DB LEONARD COLEMAN
was chosen with the eighth pick in 1984 by Indianapolis.
• The highest-selected Vandy quarterback since
BILL WADE
was picked with the No. 1 overall choice in 1952 by Los
Angeles.
From NFL Media.
MARIO WILLIAMS NOTES -- THE SELECTION TODAY
of North Carolina State defensive end
MARIO WILLIAMS
with the No. 1 overall choice by the Houston Texans
breaks a streak of five consecutive quarterbacks taken with the top
selection in the draft, and a string of seven QBs taken No. 1 in the
past eight drafts. The lone exception in that span was a defensive end
–
COURTNEY BROWN
by Cleveland in 2000.
TODAY MARKS
the first time North Carolina State has had a player
selected No. 1 overall in an NFL Draft. In 1962, NC State quarterback
ROMAN GABRIEL
was taken No. 1 in the AFL Draft by Oakland. He was
picked second overall by the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL Draft that
year.
WILLIAMS BECOMES
the seventh defensive end in history to be selected No.
1 in the draft. Three DEs in a row were taken No. 1 from 1972-74, and
four in five years from 1972-76. The all-time NFL DE breakdown:
NO. 1 DEs YEAR DEFENSIVE END COLLEGE NFL CLUB
1972 Walt Patulski Notre Dame Buffalo
1973 John Matuszak Tampa Houston
1974 Ed “Too Tall” Jones Tennessee State Dallas
1976 Lee Roy Selmon Oklahoma Tampa Bay
1985 Bruce Smith Virginia Tech Buffalo
2000 Courtney Brown Penn State Cleveland
2006 Mario Williams North Carolina State Houston
WITH THE SELECTION OF WILLIAMS,
the Texans continue their trend of choosing defensive
players with their first-round picks. The club has gone for defense
with their last four first-round selections:
YEAR PLAYER POSITION COLLEGE OVERALL
2004 Dunta Robinson CB South Carolina 10
Jason Babin LB Western Michigan 27
2005 Travis Johnson DE Florida State 16
2006 Mario Williams DE NC State 1
WILLIAMS HAS
a unique perspective on his position. It’s a
do-it-yourself job, he says. “The running backs, you’ll have two or
three come out every year that are phenomenal players,” he told the
New York Times
this week. “They need their offensive line, they need
somebody who can block. Pass rushing, I do that myself.”

hog wild in getting quantity but will 'Coach' Dan Snyder's REAL

Super Bowl ring (to go with the two strike-shortened year ones)?!
The Browns, in acquiring three time Super Bowl WR Joe Jurevicius and
the A'int's only Pro Bowl Player, Centre LeCharles Bentley, have
shored up two vital needs. Dallas release of trouble-making "Gimme-the-dam-Ball"
Keyshawn Johnson and replacing him with unwanted by 31 other NFL
