The Green Bay Packer Super Bowl Champs are the Australian colours and also the colours of the SANFL (Aussie Rules Footy) team that I played for, the Woodville Warriors. It was a great night wearing my Green and Gold Aussie hat, Woodville Warriors jersey and then when a great Packers fan gave me a cheesehead to wear, I thought it was amazing.

From Mon Feb 7. Super Bowl XLV, Green Bay Packers defeat Pittsburgh Steelers 31 to 25! Fox's pregame show! Packers overcame key injuries! Aaron Rodgers wins MVP! One of my best Super Bowls ever, why? You may be shocked! Good prevailed, there were several reasons why the Packers deserved to win!

What a great game and day it was. I started watching Fox's pregame show and enjoyed it immensely. I thought the Red Carpet was interesting with Michael Strahan and Maria Menounos interviewing celebrities. The Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston interview was great with Jennifer picking the Packers by placing a blonde Clay Matthews lookalike wig on Adam instead of the Trop Polamalu black wig. Way to go gorgeous. Harrison Ford the legend actor, is he just getting old or does he think saying very little is very cool. A average interview, at least he was rooting for the Packers.

Mixing sports and politics is a big no no. Maybe I shouldn't even be writing about this on here but Fox showing the Bill O'Reilly interview with President Obama annoyed me. I like listening to Obama and CNN's Larry King now Piers Morgan show is on my nightly schedule but on Super Bowl Sunday, I really didn't want to hear Obama talking about his Health Care system etc. A obvious chance for Fox to promote Bill and their Fox News to a huge audience. Ahhhh! Damn you Fox bosses!

I was switching between the Fox pregame show and the excellent NFL Network but then, wow at 5.30pm EST 1 hour before game time the NFL Network show the making of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders 2010 Calendar. A great choice by the NFL Network especially as many of us knew we wouldn't be seeing any cheerleaders during the Super Bowl for the 1st time in 45 years, refer below.

There was Australian talent during the pregame as Keith Urban was playing at the stadium Tailgate Party. Also Cowboys punter Aussie Mat McBriar was working for ESPN Aus/NZ at the Super Bowl pregame. About time Mat got some excellent publicity in the Australian market. The other two Aussie punters in the NFL Ben Graham and Sav Rocca seem to get more publicity because they played in the AFL Australian Football League but Mat is the best of the three and I believe the best punter in the NFL.

We then heard that up to 1,000 temporary seats in the stadium were not stable enough for the fans to sit in. Oh no Jerry Jones what happened? Jim Lang from Rogers Sportsnet who I know and like alot as a Sportscaster tweeted that "400 fans w/out seats last nite went on field postgame, receive free merch, $2,400, free SB46 tix :>sounds fair" Hundreds of other fans did not get into thre game, a huge mess up for the NFL.

The Fox game commentators I like, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. At this stage I'm thinking this is weird, 100,000+ fans paying $100's to $1,000's to sit in a stadium and they then watch Jerry's massive TV screens. Apparently many of the fans that attend the new Cowboys stadium watch the massive TV screens more than the players on the field. I then also heard that many fans also paid $200 to watch the game outside on a screen and in coldish weather.

This lead me to think that although I wish I was there for my 4th Super Bowl with a Super Bowl week media pass, I was real happy with my decision yesterday to be at home. Yes, I stayed at home instead of going to a sports bar or to a party here in Canada. Why? well I simply love the NFL so much I wanted to watch every play of the game without eating, drinking and talking distractions. I love going to sports bars but I can do that any day or night of the week. Last year watching the game with my good mates including Crazy Scotty and Scotty Hoges in Calgary I got annoyed as they wouldn't shut up during the game. So yesterday it was just me, the TV and a few twitter mates, a great decision as the game lived up to all expectations. I believe the NFL TV coverage is so god that in many ways it is better to watch on TV than being at the stadium.

Now for the game. Also on Fox, Dalton's mentor Wade Garrett the old tough guy from the great movie Roadhouse rose from the dead to introduce the teams. Awesome! The Packers got off to a flying start leading 14-0, then 14-3, 21-3 before Hines Ward scored a touchdown to make it 21-10 at the half.

The Black Eyed Peas played the Half-Time show. Even though the sound wasn't great I thought it was fantastic. Fergie as usual was looking hot, their outfits were great and the lighting was incrediable.

In the 3rd quarter the momentum really seemed to shift the Steelers way but a fumble by Steelers Running Back Rashard Mendenhall and a resulting touchdown by the Packers was huge. The Packers held on to win 31-25. They also overcame key injuries to star players Charles Woodson and Donald Driver. A great effort.

Good prevailed, there were several reasons why the Packers deserved to win!

1) 1st of all Aaron Rodgers winning the MVP was great. He had to put up with alot of abuse from some Packers fans when Brett Favre retired and wanted to come back three years ago. Some fans were abusing him and one even wanted to fight him as he was walking into practice. Aaron is a class guy and a great Quarterback.

2) As Bill Romanowski the 4 time Super Bowl Champ said on The Jim Rome show last week, Karma will come back to get Big Ben Roethlisberger in regards to him causing trouble off the field with women. I agreed with Romo. Ben had a average to bad game.

3) Troy Palomaro is a great player and seems a really nice guy but I don't like liars. In the Head and Shoulders shampoo commercial that he stars in, he lies. His team mate asks him if he used his shampoo and Troy says "No". He then asks Troy again "Did you use my shampoo?" and Troy then says "Yes". This may seem small to many of you reading this but seriously, I dislike people telling lies. Kids watching this commercial will think it's OK to lie if Troy lies. Troy was obviously following the script by the Head and Shoulders people but he should have said "I'm not going to lie to millions of people that are going to watch this".

4) James Harrison the star Steelers defensive player was fined several times this year for helmet to helmet dirty and dangerous hits. He just didn't get it!

So there are four reasons why I believe good prevailed yesterday with a Packers win. It was a great day and night.

I won 4 out of the 5 bets I placed as per the "Crazy Super Bowl bets" report below, 1) The Packers -2.5 spread bet, 2) Aaron Rodgers winning MVP, 3) No team scoring 3 times in a row, 4) A Steelers player making out to wear a WWE wrestling belt on a touchdown.

I lost the bet with Christina Aguilera going under the 1.54 min in singing the National Anthem. This has caused some controversy as Bodog.com who I placed the bet with recorded it at 1 min 53.7secs where as Bookmaker.com was paying on the over. Damn I could have gone 5 for 5.

For the first time in the 45 years of the Super Bowl, there will be no cheerleaders by the two teams playing. Will Jerry Jones have his Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders in amongst the crowd as he does at the Cowboys games or isn't Roger the commissioner letting him do that. Wait and see!

The Packers and the Steelers are two of the I believe six NFL teams that do not have any cheerleaders. The other teams include New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, and Chicago Bears.

From Sat Feb 5. Steelers star 1st year Center Maurkice Pouncey is out of the Super Bowl! The last time a star Center was out of a Super Bowl, guess what happened?

Maurkice Pouncey will not play as he has a badly spained ankle and a broken bone. This is a blow for the Steelers as the Center player hands off the ball to the Quarterback along with being a great blocker in his position as a part of the Offensive Line.

Remember Super Bowl XXXVII Raiders vs Buc's? Barret Robbins the star Center for the Raiders went walkabout across the USA border from San Diego into Mexico with his women the week of Super Bowl. He missed practice and was suspended by the Raiders. He did not play in the Super Bowl.

Raiders Quarterback Rich Gannon was sacked way more than he would have been and the Raiders were defeated by the Bucs. Maurkice Pouncey could be a big loss for the Steelers. I'm now more confident with my pick and bets on the Packers, refer below. More on the Raiders at this Super Bowl below.

My Super Bowl XLV bets! The Super Bowl Prop bets are incredible! It is amazing how many things you can bet on!

The 1st bet I placed was the day after the NFC and AFC championship games. I place $5 on Green Bay Packers at –2.5 with sportsinteraction.com

The next $5 bet I placed was on Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers Quarterback winning the MVP, Most Valuable Player at 3/2. I did this in "hope and belief" as I really want the Packers to defeat the Steelers. If they do Rodgers would be a good chance to win the MVP.

The NFL Super Bowl Prop bets are incredible. There are many things that you can bet on for the Super Bowl, I was amazed and actually laughed at many of them. Look under "Super Bowl Props" on a betting site.

I took advise from Jim Rome the well known USA sports radio host. He really believes Christina Aguilera will go over the 1 min 54 secs singing the National Anthem, so I had a bit of a fun $5 bet on this again with sportsinteraction.com.

Jim also liked this bet below, believing this is not the Steelers style, thus I placed a $5 bet as a No at -155 with Bodog.com.

Bears QB Jay Cutler comes out of the game early in the 3rd quarter with a knee injury and gets a huge bagging from NFL players, media and fans! AFC Championship game, Pittsburgh Steelers defeat New York Jets, 24 to 19!

What a great NFL Sunday it was! I'm surprised the Green Bay Packers won by only 7 points after Bears QB Jay Cutler came out of the game early in the 3rd quarter with a knee injury. Many current and former NFL players, media and fans are really doubting Jay's toughness. I was amazed Jay didn't continue playing in the biggest game of his life. If you read back on this column you will see that I was very disappointed when Jay had the fallout with Denver Broncos former coach Josh McDaniels. I had but more blame on McDaniels than Cutler.

In the AFC Championship game the New York Jets were well down at 1/2 time 24 to 0. They came back in the 2nd half and nearly defeated the Steelers.

NFL Division playoff games! My 2 bets!

AFC, I placed a $10 bet at Bodog.com on New England Patriots at -9. They play New York Jeys in New England. NFC, I placed a $5 bet at Sportsinteraction.com on Seattle Seahawks at +10. They play Chicago Bears in Chicago and although I believe the Bears will win I think it will be closer than 10 points.

In the other AFC game, Baltimore Ravens take on Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh. I'll take the Steelers in what should be a very tough, dirty rippa of a game. NFC, Green Bay Packers take on Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta. This is a tough game to pick, I'll take the Packers just. I believe whoever wins this game will go to the Super Bowl. Is Brett Favre in more trouble? Maybe! I'm hoping this doesn't turn into another "Tiger Woods Non Cwoa's" type saga!

On Monday two former New York Jets massage therapists, Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole sued the team and Brett Favre. The women are claiming they were fired after rebuffing Favre's text messages with sexual advances.

Why did these women only now complain? I know, it's after the recent Jen Sterger issue isn't it! They see $$$ no doubt! (Refer below for Brett vs Jen Sterger reports.)

Is Brett a bit of a "married dog", it hurts me to say this as I have been a huge Brett Favre fan over the years but I have to say he unfortunately probably is.

Will there be many other Non Cwoa's, Non Cool Women Of America, now come out of hiding like what we saw with Tiger Woods in 2010. I hope not. At this stage I agree with the New York Jets in this report Click here

Gary Mr Wine Internet TV wants to buy the Jets!

While I'm talking about the New York Jets, I know of a very successful businessman that is also big into producing Internet TV that wants to buy the New York Jets. Gary Vaynerchuck the Wine Library TV celebrity, this is one of his main aims in life. I think he probably could buy them now with the success of his business, he has a very popluar online Wine Internet TV show and currently he has 856,515 followers on Twitter.com.

I'm curently reading his successful book caled "CRUSH IT". I'm sure Gary is hoping the Jets Crush the Colts this weekend. They may well win especially if they Crush star Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning forcing him out of the game. That is tough to do though. I know if Jets coach Rex Ryan sat on me he would go along way into Crushing parts of me!

From Mon Jan 3. NFL Playoffs are set! My 2 bets for week 1 of the playoffs, the Wildcard games are placed!

Idecided to place two bets today as I believe the spreads will go up in these two games. I placed a bet on New Orleans Saints at -10.5 against the Seattle Seahawks at Sportsinteraction.com. Also a bet on Baltimore Ravens at -3 againt the Kansas City Chiefs also at Sportsinteraction.com. Both are away teams but I'm liking these odds.

The other 2 games, hard to pick as the New York Jets go to Indianapolis to play the Colts. I went for the Jets as you can hear on Sports Rage, refer above. From Mon Dec 28. QB Tim Tebow leads Denver Broncos to a win, his 1st as QB!

I didn't get this game on my TV so I just had to venture to downtown Ottawa wearing my Tim Tebow #15 jersey to watch the Broncos. I'm glad I did as Tim Tebow lead the Broncos in a great comeback to defeat the Houston Texans 24 to 23. Broncos were down 17-0 at halftime, but Tim threw for 308 yards and a touchdown and ran for 27 yards and a score as he led the Denver offense in a fantastic comeback.

Has he already silenced his critics, them saying he won't be any good in the NFL? I believe he has silenced many of them. I then ventured to a second bar after the game and ran into some Raider fans. They were ripping into me for being a Bronco fan. I congratulated them on beating the Broncos twice this season and having a better year than the Broncos. Broncos need to improve their defence in 2011.

Wow! Jets coach Rex Ryan, I think it's funny/harmless his "alleged" love of his wifes feet as seen on YouTube.com! It was another sad day in North American sports media re the interview with Rex! Rex was alot happier Sunday night after finding out the Jets are in the playoffs!

So this past week I've been listening to the sports media reports in regards to the very popular New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and he and his wife having some fun with her feet via YouTube.com. So today I decided to look it up and have a watch. I thought it was hilarious and harmless but agan typical of North American media making a Big story out of something, thus the reason that I am writing about this on here.

Apparently/most certainly it is Rex that is filming and commentating in the YouTube.com video as his "alleged" wife has her feet out of the car door, as per the picture above. These videos were popular awhile ago on YouTube.com and recently have been again uploaded.

I personally find ladies faces, hair, titties, butts, legs etc very attractive, but hey everyone to their own I suppose. This is way more harmless fun than "most" North American sports media made it out to be this past week, although a little embarrassing for Rex and his wife. I think Rex also especially likes his wifes feet as he has some trouble seeing his own!

From Broncos media today. Tim Tebow will start at quarterback on Sunday against Houston at INVESCO Field at Mile High, Interim Head Coach Eric Studesville said in a Monday press conference.

Tebow made his first career start in Sunday's 39-23 loss in Oakland, finishing 8-of-16 passing for 138 yards and a touchdown. The 2010 first-round pick's 100.5 passer rating marked the highest-ever for a Denver rookie quarterback in a starting debut. Special good luck to Tim Tebow starting for the 1st time today at QB for Broncos against Raiders. I seriously wish I flew there, wore my Aussie hat, Tebow number 15 jersey and with video camera filming. Would be dangerous but fun! Would I have survived the Raider fans in the Black hole? The Aussie hat may have helped, maybe not.

For people new to the NFL Brett has been the star of recent Wrangler jeans commercials. Middle: Oh Brett you are having a rough go lately. From Vikings training recently, Brett Favre was hit by a football in the weapon and obviously from his reaction, the testicles as well. Most guys would never laugh at this, but after the reports of Brett "apparently" sending voice messages and also pictures of his weapon to Jennifer Sterger the former New York Jets hotty sideline reporter, this is actually in a way fate/funny. Brett played for the New York Jets in 2008. He has admitted to the voice messages. On Nov 11 NFL officials interviewed Jennifer for 3+ hours. How can there be a case though against Brett as she never complained of work place harrassment? The deadspin.com website started it all.
