Mon, Feb 20, 06 "The USA continue to dominate in Snow Boarding! American not Cwoa Lindsey Jacobellis shows off and looses Gold in the fantastic new Olympic event, Snow boarding Cross! Canadian Cwoc Dominique Maltais wins Bronze! My Boarding MYKwebTV!" Myk

"It was not the Winter Olympics but it felt great to compete in the Spring Splash, Colorado in front of a Huge crowd several years ago. I sunk with about a metre to dry land. Oh well. Check out Boarding and snow skiing MYKwebTV Click here

This is funny I think but kind of sad. American Lindsey Jacobeliss was winning the snow board cross final but on the second to last jump she crashed after showing off doing a apparent celebratory trick. Can you believe that! That is absolute Craziness and although she tried to say afterwards that she wasn't showing off I bet she will regret this for the rest of her life.

Swiss Tanja Frieden won the Gold, Lindsey who I have to call a not Cwoa got up and recovered for the Silver while Canadian Cwoc Dominique Maltais won the Bronze.

Men's Snow Board Cross results! Seth Wescott from the USA won Gold, Radoslav Zidek from Slovakia won Silver, Paul-Henri Delerue from France won Bronze while Jasey-Jay Anderson from Canada came 5th and Damon Hayler from Australia came 7th.

Fri, Feb 17, 06 "Aussie/CDN Dale Begg-Smith wins Gold in the Men's Moguls! My Boarding MYKwebTV!" Myk

Yeh Australia wins Gold! Wow! What a Big story this has been over here in Western Canada this week as Dale born in Vancouver Canada competed as a Australian after not being able to abide by the Canadian Olympic Committees training routine/development system etc because of his business. Dale apparently a very wealthy Internet businessman who also apparently drives around Vancouver in a Black expensive Lamborghini car migrated to Australia at 16 and to become a Australian citizen he had to apparently sit out of competition for 2 years. He has won 4 World Cup Mogul events after coming 3rd in the 2005 World Championships.

Not only did this upset the Canadian Media but 4th place went to Marc-Andre Moreau a Canadian and thus a double wammy as Canada missed out on a medal completely. What a great event this is as the skiers speed over the moguls and complete 2 jumps in the course. The judges judge on 1) Technique over the moguls 2) Time to complete the course and 3) The jumps."

Wed, Feb 15, 06 "The USA dominate in the early Snowboarding events at the Winter Olympics in Torino/Turin whichever it is! Aussie Bird Torah Bright came a excellent 5th in the Halfpipe! My Boarding MYKwebTV!" Myk Aussie

What is with that, some TV stations are calling it Torino, others Turin. Damn I wish they would get it right. I heard NBC went with Torino because it sounded better for marketing purposes.

Snowboarding Halfpipe. The USA team has won lots of medals in the early Snow boarding events, the Halfpipe. On Monday, American Cwoa's Hannah Teter won gold and Cwoa Gretchen Bleiler won silver in addition to the two medals the U.S. men won the day before.

More ladies Halfpipe results: Aussie Bird Torah Bright came a excellent 5th, Holly Crawford came 18th. Canadian Cwoc Sarah Conrad came 15th, Cwoc Dominique Vallee came 21st, Cwoc Maelle Ricker came 23rd while Cwoc Mercedes Nicoll came 27th.

19 year old Shaun "The Flying Tomato" White won the men's Olympic snowboard Halfpipe on Sunday after recovering from a shaky start. He scored 46.8 points out of 50 in his first run in the final, landing back to back 1080s. Danny Kass won the Silver medal.

Canadian men Halfpipe results: Crispin Lipscomb came 11th, Brad Martin came 16th, Hugo Lemay came 18th, while Justin Lamoureux came 21st.

Aussie men Halfpipe results: Litchell Allan came 31st, Andrew Burton came 32ndand Ben Mates came 42nd.

Canadians and Aussies let's kick some butt in the snowboarding!

Wed May 5 04  "A Big skateboarding event in Vancouver at Pammy's BC Place over  the weekend with Greg Lutzka from Milwaukee the big winner!" Myk

Vans Slam City Jam, the North American Skateboarding Championships celebrated its 11th year in Vancouver over the weekend, in a new venue, yes it was at Pammy's BC Place Stadium located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The world's best professional skateboarders gathered to battle for US$100,000 and the men's and women's North American Street and Vert Titles. But unfortunately I was not there. I met up with a few boarders at the Cambie Hotel and they said it was a great event.

"One of the smoothest, most enjoyable Slam experiences for all who were there.  Skaters loved the course, venders liked the marketplace and fans loved the skating!" were reported comments.

Mon, Aug 18, 03 "It was great day at the Chestermere Water Festival!" Myk Aussie

20km East of Calgary was where all the action was yesterday as the Chestermere Water Festival was on! It was a magnificent day with the Wake Boarding being the main event. 30 degrees Celsius provided not only great Wake Boarding action but also many beautiful Cwoc's were out looking magnificent in their bikinis! 

There were some big falls by the boarders as they attempted to win the event & many unbelievable 360 Degree flips as they jumped the wake made from the magnificent speed boat. 

CJay 92 legend DJ Red Dawg was there introducing the great bands that played but also up to his tricks organizing a Bikini contest. other legends in attendance included Blaine from Full Frontal TV & a Strathmore "Running Of The Bulls" participant & Wally, Gus & the Guys from Honey's. It was a fun time. 

Leyton Ramsey won the Intermediate Mens with Ben Rush coming in 2nd. Joybox TV were there filming the event in readiness for a Global TV special. More coming on this great event" Myk Aussie

Wed, July 2 '03 "Canada Day celebrations continue as we today win the 2010 Winter Olympics. Pammy's BC Place will be the place to be for the opening & closing celebrations!" Myk Aussie

Big Big News confirmed today as me former home city in Canada the city of Vancouver & the near by magnificent Whistler Blackcomb mountains will be the venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Pammys BC Lion Place currently a 55,000 air filled roof venue will be revamped & many new facilities & stadiums will be built in Vancouver & Whistler Blackcomb.

TIERNEY RIDES REVOLUTIONARY T-BOARDÔ

Showcased at X Games Global Championship Weekend

Chicago IL, Tierney Rides’ new T-Board, a two-wheeled street board that delivers the true carve and ride dynamics of snowboarding on paved surfaces, has already been showcased on Good Morning America, CNN Headline News, ESPN 2001/2002 X Games, and held a NBC Gravity Games downhill race with top US snowboard team members.

Tierney Rides invites everyone to T-BOARD VILLAGE STREET CARVE during the X Games Global Championship weekend on Sunday May 18^th in beautiful Whistler Village British Columbia Canada.

Top riders including US and Canada National snowboard team members along with X Games athletes will race T-boards on a high speed downhill and a parallel giant slalom street course set on Whistler Village’s Painted Cliff Road. 

The event starts at 6 pm sharp with the downhill and ends with the parallel giant slalom.  To get a better idea of what T-riders has created, look no further than Mark Fawcett Canadian Olympic Snowboard Team ‘98 ‘02, " My T board doesn't see too many days off. Nothing simulates the carving sensation on the pavement better than a T board. There is always a new level to attain. 

I didn't touch the snow all summer. I owe my 2nd place finish at the season opener at the Snowboard World Cup in Chile to my T board. " The T-Board is the brainchild of Kurt Tierney and his brother Tyler. The first prototype was constructed from pieces of hardware in their mom’s garage in the spring of 1999. Although generations away from the T-Board of today, the original did prove that the brothers’ two-wheeled approach could produce the ride they knew was possible.
